Discover, online search, anime and import from Jellyfin

Trends, streaming rows and trailers on the Discover page, search via TMDB and OMDb with a wish list, anime IDs via AniList, and existing Jellyfin libraries can be imported along with user data.

Four concepts have made their way into the server and the clients over the last few days.

Discover

The “Discover” page shows trends, cinema, streaming rows (JustWatch via TMDB), genres and trailers. The server refreshes the lists every six hours; region, rows and the page’s administration live in the admin area. Trailers and extras appear below the cast of movies and series.

Search covers not only your own library but, via TMDB and OMDb, the catalogue as well: with chips for filters, people and genre, hits via cast names, filmographies for people found and a wish list. Catalogue hits are marked “not available”; titles available on linked servers are offered.

Anime

Anime libraries get their IDs from the anime lists (AniDB, MAL, aniSearch) and AniList; names in other languages feed into the search. Verified with 256 series and 50 movies.

Import from Jellyfin

Existing Jellyfin libraries can be imported along with their matches and user data (stages 1 and 2 of the import concept). Import from Plex will follow.
