Two projects · one developer

Remote support with end-to-end encryption. And a media server that is yours.

Hiatus Remote and Tenjin are two independent programs with the same attitude: your data stays with you, the relay sees nothing, and the interface feels at home on every device.

Hiatus Remote

Version 1.0.0-rc1 · Release candidate

See and control a screen, transfer files, open a shell, hear audio, secured with SPAKE2+ and AES-256-GCM. Direct via hole punching, relay only as fallback. Windows, Linux, macOS.

Tenjin

Version 0.1.0 · In development

Self-hosted media server for movies, series, anime, music, audiobooks and books. Native clients for desktop, tablet, phone and TV: direct play before remux before transcode.

  1. Hiatus Remote

    Release candidate 1.0.0-rc1

The feature set of 1.0 is complete: security review finished, MSI installer with optional service, relay as a Docker image, manuals for users and administrators in German and English.

  2. Tenjin

    Fire TV Cube is supported

A 32-bit build for Fire OS, the on-screen keyboard opens with the OK key, the remote’s menu key opens the context menu; Direct Play with 4K Dolby Vision verified. Subtitle extraction now runs as its own task.

  3. Hiatus Remote

    Security review M8 completed

Threat model extended, 24 findings verified in the code and decided one by one, clang-tidy and MSVC analysis without findings, CVE check of all dependencies, overnight fuzzing run with 17 targets.

Downloads

Every file comes with an SHA-256 checksum. No telemetry, no accounts for visitors.

The relay sees nothing

Passwords are never sent to a server. Keys are created on both ends; the relay only forwards encrypted packets.

Native on every device

No web wrappers: Qt Quick clients for Windows, macOS and Linux, Android apps for phone, tablet, TV and Fire TV.

Openly documented

Architecture, threat model and protocols are described per project, with UML diagrams and manuals to read online.
